Kybella™ is a nonsurgical injectable technique used to target Submental fullness, sometimes referred to as “double chin.” The process uses a series of deoxycholic acids, a naturally-occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.
Kybella™ injections target the fat cells in the chin area, causing the lysis of adipocytes, the destruction of fat cells and improving your chin profile. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat; this is a permanent solution.
No incisions are required, and the downtime is minimal in most cases.

Since everyone’s chin profile is different, the number of treatments will vary from patient to patient. Your Physician will help determine how many treatment sessions you need based on the amount and distribution of your submental fat and your personal treatment goals. Each KYBELLA® treatment session is given at least one month apart, and you should not receive more than six treatments. Many patients experience visible results after 2 to 4 treatments.
What are the side effects of Kybella™?
Directly after receiving Kybella™ injections, you can expect to experience bruising, swelling, inflammation, pain, redness & temporary numbness at injection sites. If you experience anything outside of the above symptoms, please make your Physician aware.
