What is the melanage minipeel system?
A transformative skin brightening and retexturizing system, which includes a superficial, non-burning peel (applied in-office) and a 30-day home care kit.
Who is it recommended for?
Anyone concerned with unwanted pigmentation, dark spots, sun damage or uneven texture. It is appropriate for all skin tones and most skin types, but is NOT recommended if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have overly sensitive skin.
What should I expect during the peel?
The customized peel solution is applied in-office and should be kept on for 4-10 hours (as determined by your skin care provider). You should not feel discomfort, but your skin may have a sheer yellow tint until the peel solution is washed off.
What will I experience after removing the peel?
Skin may feel dry and tight with some mild redness and sensitivity (similar to a light sunburn). Within 48-72 hours skin may begin to flake or peel and continue do so for about 4-7 days. Some patients may not experience flaking, but this will NOT affect the outcome of the peel.
What is in the home care kit?
Each kit contains a customized skin brightening cream, gentle cleanser, intensive moisturizer, skin soothing balm, and an all-physical SPF 40 sunscreen. Easy to follow home care instructions will also be provided.
What should I expect after the kit is finished?
Results may vary, but with consistent use of your home care products, skin will be visibly brightened, have a more even tone and look noticeably smoother.
